Manager, Enterprise Tax/Family Office– Asia Pacific Network At KPMG, you’ll join a team of diverse and dedicated problem solvers focused on turning insight into opportunity for clients and communities around the world. We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Mandarin‑speaking tax professional at the Manager level in our dynamic and growing Asia Pacific Network tax practice. As an integral member of this team, you will work closely with KPMG Partners to provide tax advisory and compliance services to a vast array of clients while supporting the evolution of the practice and driving engagements in our Asia Pacific Network. Our Asia Pacific tax practice is the largest practice in the Greater Vancouver Area, providing a wide range of tax planning, advisory and compliance services to high‑net‑worth families and corporations with roots in the Asia Pacific region (mainly mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan). We help personal and corporate clients navigate through a complex tax environment and identify the most efficient tax solutions while meeting the business, legal, financing and family needs. We have advised on some of the most significant inbound transactions in local history and are experiencing rapid growth. What You Will Do Lead client engagements. Work closely with a Partner as a senior team member on tax planning work for clients. Plan and organize teams for the preparation of tax returns and conduct and present tax research. Review the work of junior staff for accuracy and completeness. Serve as part of the tax engagement team in servicing the planning and compliance needs of clients. Provide ongoing support and mentoring for the professional development of staff. Work with other office members in attracting new work to the firm. What You Bring To The Role 5 years’ experience in a public accounting firm, 3 years in a dedicated Tax role. Fluency in Mandarin and English is a requirement. Professional Accounting Designation. Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field. Completed or nearly completed the CPA In‑Depth tax course. Excellent people management skills. Highly motivated individual with a passion for learning and a desire for growth. Excellent client service skills with the ability to understand the client’s business. Aptitude for building trusting relationships with broad groups of stakeholders, prospects, and clients as well as diverse family members. Experience working with high‑net‑worth individuals and/or family businesses and have a strong understanding of their needs and of the issues they face. Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service and professionalism in the performance of duties. Strong project management and organizational skills. Effectively manages conflicting demands and priorities. Gives others the opportunity to take on new tasks and responsibilities. Emphasizes on quality and adds value in their client offerings and services. Able to instill enthusiasm in others to achieve desired results. Able to provide persuasive and self‑assured responses to challenging questions. KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information The expected base salary range for this position is $85,500–$128,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications.
