Pricing Analyst

OverviewWe are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Pricing Analyst. This role can be fully remote, on-site, or hybrid. Location is flexible for anywhere Applied operates in Canada; however, preference is near one of our major service centres.The Pricing Analyst will work with field associates and Strategic Accounts team members to manage the following areas: customer re-price process management, customer RFQ’s, portal and digital customer engagement, and other related projects. Candidates chosen will receive intensive training for these roles.ResponsibilitiesProactively work with Applied’s Canadian Pricing Team, Chargeback Team, Strategic Account team (SA), Branch Service center (SC) Field Sales/Operations and Corporate Operations teams to support revenue and margin growth plansLead or assist in pricing activities including pricing and margin analysis, gross margin enhancement, rebate analysis, and other activities as requiredWork with the Digital Order Desk Team and Field to onboard and implement digital/portal accountsLead or support efforts to normalize and identify products contained in Strategic Account client Request for Pricing (RFP) data files and repricing exercisesProvide input into how Applied’s Client RFP processes can be improved and automatedWork with SAMs/BDMs/field personnel to establish appropriate Pricing and supplier Chargebacks for each Client RFPInput all required data into SAP in a timely and efficient mannerEnsure landed, rebated costs, gross margins (or markups), and price levels are calculated correctly for all primary and alternative suppliers requested/allowed by SA or Field clients during each RFPProactively enhance product knowledge in Bearing & Power Transmission (BPT) and Fluid Power & Industrial Maintenance Supply areasSupport the utilization of tools and processes that can improve quotation and pricing activitiesCommunicate with clients as required to support the development of accurate SA client RFP responsesOther activities to support business needs as requiredTrain and mentor other team members as requiredExpected Results Or OutcomesMeet all customer RFP requirements and expectationsMeet all re-price requirements and expectationsManage the process while ensuring timely responsesParticipate in meetings with related teamsComplete all assigned and supported action items from meetings in a timely mannerMaintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure terms are supported and adhered toSupport the SA Manager or MDM as required to liaise with suppliers for competitive pricing information and documentationMaintain matrices to ensure the delivery of accurate costing, CB calculations and price structure maintenanceMaintain documentation on all pricing and structure changes related to specific SA AgreementsAnalyze situations, gather data, and provide clear recommendations if requiredRequired Technical Skills, Knowledge And CompetenciesGood data manipulation and normalization skillsStrong communicator and negotiatorProactive, confident and self-assuredHighly ethical and acts with integrityCompetitive, driven and detail orientedAble to handle ambiguity and conflictStrong interest in learning new technologiesExperience with SAP Pricing modules is an assetHigh proficiency in Microsoft ExcelFundamental understanding of pricing structures and strategiesGoal- and results-oriented with ability to juggle priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skillsAbility to set priorities, manage diverse responsibilities, and meet deadlinesPositive can-do attitude, team playerStrategic thinker with strong business analytics skillsIndustry knowledge in wholesale or distributionAble to work independentlyExhibits leadership skills within the groupAttention to detail and accuracyRequired Experience And EducationAbility to interact with client and supplier personnel professionally5 or more years of industry experience is an assetExperience and knowledge in Bearings & P.T.Experience with FP & MRO products is an assetWhat We OfferCompetitive compensation and bonus opportunitiesHealth, vision, and dental coverage, RRSP with company matchPaid vacation, sick time, and company holidaysTuition reimbursement and opportunities for developmentCompany-supported community involvement opportunitiesWe are an equal opportunity employer.
