Part-Time Elementary English Teacher/Tutor Wanted Do you love to help students succeed in English? We are currently seeking a part‑time English tutor at our learning centre at Oxford Learning Richmond Hill - Oak Ridges. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with young students, enjoys teaching the ins and outs of language and is passionate about helping students build their skills. Teachers at Oxford Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre‑planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods. Position Requirements All Teacher‑Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after‑school and evening hours on weekdays (3:30 pm – 8:00 pm) and some Saturdays (10:30 am – 1:30 pm). A commitment until the end of the school year is preferred. Reliability is a must. This role is in‑person; you must be able to commute to the location. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory. Education University students will be considered. Teaching certification is an asset. Good knowledge of the current curriculum. Experience Some experience teaching or tutoring is preferred. Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students’ understanding. Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time. Responsibilities (Position Details) Teaching up to three students at a time at different levels. Following Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies. Filling in post‑lesson notes. Completing daily student communication updates. Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times.
