The DM / buyer is responsible for sourcing and curating a timely assortment of our perennial plant offering that meets or exceeds the sales volume, manages quick inventory turns, and achieves target gross profit margins. A proactive approach to buying to always give our customers the best quality, quantity, and plant selection.

Overview of role:

  • Building sales and supporting our brand by providing outstanding service to our guests
  • Sharing your plant knowledge - informing customers about plant care – setting them up for success
  • Ensuring buying direction is on target based on analysis of weekly/monthly sales, current stock & customer trends with the goal of optimizing sales
  • Receiving, pricing & ongoing plant maintenance - we only sell high quality, healthy plants
  • During peak season we will look to you to provide daily direction to the annual & perennial sales team
  • Working with the store merchandiser creating inspiring displays, managing product placement that is reflective of trend and supports brand messaging

Is this you?Solid knowledge of Perennial Plants with a good understanding of sourcing and buying live plants3+ years customer service experience, preferably in a retail settingStrong organization skills are self-directed, and you work effectively in a fast-paced environmentStrength in Microsoft excel, and utilizing our POS system for sales reportingA positive attitude, you love working & collaborating within a team environmentFlexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekends, and holidays as seasonal peaks require, including store opening and closing responsibilitiesThis job requires extended periods of walking and standing, as well as the ability to lift to 30lbs and work in various weather conditions and environments
