Comprised of the Credit Valley Hospital, the Mississauga Hospital and the Queensway Health Centre, Trillium Health Partners serves the growing and diverse populations of Mississauga, West Toronto and surrounding communities and is a teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Toronto.Our Mission: A New Kind of Health Care for a Healthier CommunityOur Goals: Quality, Access, SustainabilityQualifications:An integral member of the Diagnostic Imaging department, MRI technologist responsibilities include: performing MRI exams as outlined in the MRI procedure manual; operating, troubleshooting and ensuring that medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner; completing all clerical aspects of exam completion; training of students and new technologists; continuing education as required by associations and needs of department; all patient care responsibilities to facilitate the provision of optimal patient care; observing and understanding hospital visions and values of teamwork, integrity, excellence, customer-focus and innovation while maintaining patient confidentiality; performing cross-functional responsibilities as assigned, or requested; performing other duties related to the job classification, as required.Duties and Responsibilities:Performs magnetic resonance imaging procedures as outlined in MRI procedure Manual;Utilizes technical/medical judgement/knowledge to evaluate image quality, and adjusts accordingly;Ensures proper screening procedure for patient and anyone else entering magnet room;Assess the patient’s condition prior to, during, and after procedures; maintains awareness of procedural complications and reactions during and after procedures; recognizes the conditions requiring immediate attention and initiates appropriate response; documents procedures to ensure precise and accurate procedural records are maintained;Performs other duties as required.Job Requirements:Completion of MRI Certification Exam required;Registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologist of Ontario (CMRITO) required;Registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologist (CAMRT) asset;Experience with Siemens MRI considered an asset.To pursue this career opportunity, please visit our website: www.trilliumhealthpartners.caInternal Candidates who believe they possess the necessary qualifications and experience for this position and who have been in their current position for at least six (6) months are encouraged to apply.Candidates are selected on the basis of their skill, ability, experience and qualifications.Where these factors are relatively equal seniority shall govern providing the successful applicant.Trillium Health Partners’ (THP) is an equal opportunity employer who values the importance of antiracism work and is committed to integrating antiracism, diversity, equity and inclusion best practices throughout THP operations, policies and culture.
