Clinical Resource Nurse (RN) – Mental Health and Substance Use, Bella Bella The salary range for this position is CAD $49.20–$63.47 per hour. Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Clinical Resource Nurse to join the Intensive Case Management Team at Heiltsuk Hospital in Bella Bella, BC. The role focuses on providing clinical support and education to interdisciplinary teams and community partners. Responsibilities Act as a clinical resource by providing consultation and clinical support to the interdisciplinary care team, other professionals and students. Model evidence‑informed best practices and deliver in‑the‑moment education to support staff and clients. Consult, confer and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, physicians, educational resources and other health‑care professionals to achieve excellence in client‑centred education and research. Work collaboratively across multiple sites, clinics and services within an integrated health service delivery model. Establish, maintain and enhance therapeutic relationships based on respect. Education & Experience Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives. Three (3) years’ recent, related nursing experience in the designated clinical area(s), including one year’s related teaching experience or an equivalent combination. Completion of the ‘Educator Pathway Program’ is preferred. Three (3) years’ recent, related nursing experience working in relation to the Mental Health Act. Valid BC driver’s licence and access to a personal vehicle for local travel may be required. Knowledge & Abilities Comprehensive knowledge of Trauma‑Informed Practice, Cultural Safety, Gender‑Affirming, Harm Reduction and Recovery‑Oriented Models of Care. Ability to assess clients at risk and apply relevant legislation such as the Mental Health Act, Adult Guardianship Act, Public Health Act, Health Care (Consent) Act and Care Facility (Admission) Act. Clinical leadership and teaching skills, including development and delivery of educational programs. Strong communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and teamwork abilities. Proficiency in evidence‑based nursing practice, adult education principles, critical‑thinking, research methodology and use of clinical equipment.
