In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, this position provides pharmacy services to patients in Northern Health. Monitors drug prescribing, drug distribution and drug therapy to ensure safe, effective, rational, legal and economic use of drugs. p>

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days, 08:00 to 16:00

Prince Rupert Regional Hospital is a 24-bed facility that sees an average of 22,000 ER visits per year. It is a fully equipped facility with Medical Imaging, Laboratory, ICU, ER and Maternity. p>

  1. Acute Care
  2. Internal medicine
  3. Ultrasound
  4. CT scans
  5. Surgery
  6. Emergency department
  7. Extended care
  8. Pediatrics
  9. Radiology
  10. Obstetrics
  11. Gynecology

Additional services such as Diabetes Education, Healthy Heart and Rehabilitation, Podiatry, Orthopedics, and other visiting specialists.

Qualifications

Baccalaureate degree in Pharmacy and current licensure with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia. Completion of a Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program or a combination of at least one year of hospital experience and advanced education courses. Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists is encouraged.
