We foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and growth, where each person’s contributions make a real impact.Job DescriptionAs a Senior Software Architect, you will play a critical role in defining the architecture and technical vision for Supernova’s cloud-based Security-Based Lending (SBL) SaaS platform. You will be responsible for designing scalable, high-performing, and secure systems that support our business services and APIs.We are looking for a technical leader who is passionate about software design, architecture, and emerging technologies, with a proven track record of building and evolving complex software systems. This role will work closely with engineering teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to ensure the platform’s architecture supports the company’s growth and long-term objectives.This is a strategic and hands-on role that will directly influence Supernova’s technical roadmap, guiding the development of robust, scalable, and secure solutions. The Senior Software Architect will be instrumental in driving innovation and excellence across our technology stack.RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead the effort in the development, and maintenance of our platform software modulesCollaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize requirements and translate them into actionable technical tasksEnsure the timely delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions that adhere to best practices and meet business requirementsReview code, providing constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards and guidelinesParticipate in architecture and design discussions, contributing to the overall technical vision and direction of the teamBuild and maintain unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliabilityContinuously improve the performance, reliability, and security of our web services and ETL jobsAddress technical debt, refactor code as necessary, and drive improvements in the team's software development processes and practicesStay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in ETL job and API development, and share knowledge and insights with the teamQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plusAt least 5 years of software development experience with a focus on backend development, either in ETL job design and development, or Web Service API developmentEither expertise in Java and Spring Boot, or comparable expertise in Python and Pandas for backend developmentHands-on experience with AWS Lambda development in Python is a plusExperience in Java or Python library is a plusDemonstrated experience in building and maintaining unit tests and integration testsFamiliarity with test automation tools and frameworksExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelinesKnowledge of micro-services, event-driven architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is preferredStrong analytical, detail-oriented problem-solving abilities and excellent communication, capable of both independent work and effective collaboration in a team environmentWhat We OfferAt Supernova Technology, we provide a robust benefits package to support the health and well-being of our employees.
