This position is new within BU GPHE Service.About the roleAlfa Laval and Business Unit GPHE-Service is on a journey to lift the operational excellence and professionalism of our service operations and execution, whether services are delivered in a service center or in the field. We must provide solutions and experience that are better than our competitors’ and lead in the market. In this journey, we also see the need to drive standardization of delivery of GPHE services across our organization, but to secure that we sell what we can deliver, and we can deliver that we sell in a high quality and cost-efficient way that differentiates us in the eye of our customers. The Service Operations Development Manager will be vital in developing our organization for this journey.Key responsibilities for the role include:As the Service Operations Development Manager, you will focus on developing operational capabilities in the areas of reconditioning and field service for GPHE at Alfa Laval.You will be responsible for:driving the Service Technology Roadmap with R&D, ensuring consistent and cost-effective execution of GPHE services globally,integrating service execution into new product development,maintaining the Service Product Catalogue,coordinating the ALSOC Competence Development program, and supporting the flagship Service Center in Frechen, Germany.The role aims to improve performance, time, cost, and sustainability in service operations.What you knowYou have a university degree in engineering or business combined with 5-10 years of work experience of leading projects or complex assignments. We trust you have been working hands on developing production or service processes in global organizations. Technical knowledge of GPHEs and service processes will be an advantage. Excellent English skills both verbal and written are vital for this role.Who you areYou are a self-motivated and driven person who likes to achieve ambitious goals and make things happen. We trust you have an open mindset towards challenges and change and have a problem-solving attitude. You are proactive and have an Innovative mindset that enables you to drive new ideas and approaches around service operations.PracticalitiesThe position will preferably be based in Lund; another Alfa Laval site may be also suitable. In this role you will report to the Manager Sales Development Services in BU GPHE.
