Technicien de Service Automobile/Automotive Technician

AutoCanada, the largest Canadian-owned and publicly traded dealership group, is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to join the BMW MINI Laval team.The successful candidate will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, ensuring their proper functioning. They will work with a variety of car systems, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems, using specialized tools and technology to identify problems.ResponsibilitiesPerform vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as specified on the RO efficiently and accurately.Communicate regularly with parts and service advisors to effectively manage production/repairs, cycle times, and customer communication.Perform multi-point inspections to make appropriate repair recommendations while ensuring the safety and reliability of any repaired vehicle.Document all work performed on the vehicle RO by creating a history on the associated repair order.Maintain an inventory of common automotive technician tools.Stay current with factory technical bulletins and attend factory-sponsored training courses as required.Deliver an exceptional repair experience to build customer loyalty and increase department revenue.RequirementsSolid knowledge of various makes and models.A completed or current provincially recognized automotive mechanic certificate.A CPA (Comité paritaire de l'industrie des services automobiles) card.Red Seal certification would be considered an asset.Professional attitude and strong work ethic.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.High level of integrity and work ethic.Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.PerksCompetitive compensation plan.Medical, vision, and dental benefits.Life insurance.Group RRSP (FTQ).Sick and floating days.Closed on weekends.Renovated, air-conditioned mechanical workshop with toolboxes.Employee vehicle purchase and maintenance plan.Employee and family assistance programs.Company-wide appreciation events and contests throughout the calendar year.Professional development and the opportunity to grow your career.AutoCanada is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to collaborating with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities.If you need accommodation during the recruitment process, please inform your recruiter. #J-18808-Ljbffr
