Fraser Health Authority (FHA) and the Mental Health and Substance Use Program is seeking a Psychiatrist. This will be a combination of Inpatient Psychiatry at Chilliwack General Hospital and Community Psychiatry in the Chilliwack, Agassiz and Hope communities. Primary focus will be adult psychiatry.As a member of multi-disciplinary teams at all sites, you are required to provide a high standard of care to general psychiatric patients. Services include assessment, treatment and consultation, family meetings, case conferences, discharge planning, consultation and collaboration with other physicians and multidisciplinary teams. The Psychiatrist will also promote continuity of care by maintaining good working relationships with all those providing care and services and advocating for the psychiatric needs of individual patients.Responsibilities include participation on the ECT and on-call rotation.The successful candidate will also participate in the medical education program for University of British Columbia (UBC) undergraduate and postgraduate trainees.
