Join to apply for the Computed Tomography (CT) & Medical Imaging Technologist role at Island Health.Job DescriptionIn accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority, patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at VIHA; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.ResponsibilitiesPerform special procedures such as Computerized Tomography (CT) and general and additional medical imaging procedures.Receive and complete requisitions, forms and reports; prioritize workload; prepare and monitor supplies and equipment; monitor patients.Operate acquisition equipment and computerized patient data systems; archive acquired images; and assume in-charge and shift-related responsibilities, including evening, weekend and night shifts and working without general supervision, as assigned.QualificationsEducation, Training And ExperienceGraduation from an approved Radiology Technologist Diploma program and eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
