Clinical Pharmacist – Royal Columbian Hospital Fraser Health Authority – New Westminster, BC Salary: CAD $51.37 – $64.19 per hour Job Summary: We are seeking a relief full‑time Clinical Pharmacist to join the team at Royal Columbian Hospital. The role focuses on providing individualized pharmacotherapy, patient counseling, collaboration with the healthcare team, guideline development, research activities, and medication safety. Services You Will Provide Individualized pharmacotherapy Counseling patients about medication therapy Work with physicians and other health care providers to develop, implement, and monitor therapeutic plans Assist in development of drug therapy guidelines for specific disease conditions Prepare case studies and articles for publication in professional journals Act as a department resource person within your assigned area Participate in medication use evaluations, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical drug trials Provide mentorship and supervision to pharmacy students, residents, and new staff Validate and dispense prescriptions accurately; resolve medication safety concerns with the healthcare team Requirements Current registration as a Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia Completion of an accredited Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Broad knowledge of organization policies, evidence‑based clinical pharmacy practice, medication use evaluation, and research processes Ability to apply clinical pharmacy knowledge and make decisions with minimal supervision Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with health practitioners, patients, and families Ability to prioritize and organize work and operate necessary pharmacy equipment Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position What We Offer Competitive salary package, including comprehensive health benefits coverage A career that offers advancement opportunities in a fast‑growing, multidisciplinary organization Professional development support and a culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion Fraser Health is committed to planetary health and values diversity.
