The main objective of the technician is to ensure the quality and the consistency of the concrete, as well as to help solve any issues that arise and help deal with the situations immediately.What You’ll AccomplishTest and monitor concrete and aggregate quality for the area and provide monthly reports to quality control team.Implement programs and processes to ensure compliance of all products with relevant Codes, Standards, and Specifications.Implement Amrize Quality Program, including sampling, testing, reporting and follow up for all products as determined for each site of responsibility.Record, monitor and communicate concrete performance with key stakeholders as required – investigate variances from Plan and establish corrective actions as required.Provide input to ensure alignment between Sales and Operational staff to ensure product performance meets customer expectations.Participate in QC Planning & Activities.Effective use of Quadrel and Command software.Perform concrete lab trials for new mixes and/or products.Provide technical product expertise to sales, dispatch and operations.Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.What We’re Looking ForSecondary education with experience in construction. Additional Education Preferred: Post-secondary education in Civil technology, engineering, or equivalent or advanced students is a plus.Required Work Experience: This is an entry level position that gives a good opportunity to build a solid career at Amrize.Required Technical Skills: Good computer skills for Windows based software (Word, Excel, PowerPoints).Travel Requirements: 30% work at the plant in Ottawa, 40% at job sites, 30% remote plants (Renfrew, Cornwall, Kempville, Aylmer).Should have excellent written and oral communication skills and capable of creating good relationships internally and externally with our customers.Must also be able to work well as part of a team and independently.Driven, proactive, high accountability, and self-motivated.Capable of lifting 40 pounds.Driver License, minimum G2.Additional RequirementsSuccessful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators.
