Position Description Scott Springfield Mfg. Inc. ("SSM") is a tier-1 supplier that offers scalable air handling solutions for commercial and industrial customers across North America. SSM’s owners and leadership team have intentionally created a workplace culture that puts customers first, and values teamwork, innovation and accountability. Supported by a network of independent sales agents across North America, SSM operates two production facilities within the Calgary area. To support its growth and expansion, SSM is looking to add Quality Engineers to the team. Key Responsibilities Be actively involved in quality planning (Control Plans, APQP, FMEA, PPAP, Gauging). Initiate and participate in 8D Problem solving meetings with customers, suppliers or internal. Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Track quality-related metrics and communicate the results to all levels of the organization. Participate in the internal audit program and lead corrective actions. Analyze non-conformances and customer feedback to focus on reliability improvement in all required areas. Analyze vendor quality performance and engage in various improvements and corrective actions. Set up vendor audit schedules and perform vendor audits, as required. Implement statistical analysis based on manufacturing tolerances to identify weak points and non-conformances. Required Education & Qualifications Post-secondary education in engineering, manufacturing or quality-assurance. 3+ years’ experience in a quality-related role within a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of various analytical quality processes. Familiarity with ISO9001 implementation. Strong proficiency in both verbal and written communication. Proficiency in problem solving and critical decision making. Modine is an equal opportunity employer.
