They will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced CNC machinery, PLC-controlled equipment, robotics, and various other highly automated systems. By applying their expertise, the Millwright will contribute to maintaining a safe and productive work environment, helping to drive the success of our fabrication processes.Key Responsibilities And AccountabilitiesInstall, assemble, and maintain advanced CNC machines, robotic systems, and PLC-driven equipment.Ensure machinery and equipment are running efficiently by conducting regular preventative maintenance.Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to complete installations and repairs.Troubleshooting And RepairDiagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues on complex machinery.Use diagnostic tools and test equipment to identify root causes and resolve problems.Perform emergency repairs and ensure minimal production downtime.Calibrate machines, adjust settings, and align components to meet production specifications.Safety And ComplianceAdhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring the safe operation of all equipment.Conduct regular inspections to identify hazards, and ensure equipment meets regulatory and safety standards.Participate in the development and updating of maintenance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.Continuous ImprovementCollaborate with the engineering team to enhance machine efficiency and performance.Provide recommendations for process improvements, machine upgrades, and maintenance strategies to maximize uptime and productivity.Participate in cross-functional teams to support lean manufacturing initiatives.DocumentationMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.Log all work completed in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).Track inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring critical parts are available when needed.Collaboration And CommunicationWork closely with the operations, engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure machinery is aligned with production goals.Provide training and mentorship to apprentices or junior technicians as required.Communicate clearly and promptly with supervisors and production teams regarding equipment status and repairs.Education And ExperienceHigh School Diploma/GED, College (Trade School), and on-the-job training.5 years relevant experience in a highly technical or automated manufacturing environment.Red Seal or Journeyman Millwright Certification or Equivalent; additional certifications in PLC programming, automation, robotics, or CNC maintenance an asset.Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).Familiarity with CMMS systems for tracking work orders and maintenance activities.Proficient in English, with strong reading, writing, and speaking skills.Exposure to a manufacturing environment with potential hazards such as noise, moving machinery, and industrial chemicals.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform tasks in confined spaces or elevated positions.Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet productions schedules and to support a three-shift operation.Specialized SkillsProficiency in interpreting blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.Proven experience working with advanced fabrication equipment, including CNC machinery, robotics, and PLC-controlled systems.Strong background in troubleshooting and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.Hands-on experience with robotic systems and automated manufacturing technologies.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.Competitive BenefitsCompetitive Compensation / WagesMedical, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement Savings Plan (RRSP/DPSP)Tuition reimbursementLife insurance and disability coverageAssociate Purchase Programs, Product Discounts, In-house SalesAppreciation Events, Raffles, Draws, Fundraising, BBQ’s, CompetitionsNapoleon Cares – Associates helping AssociatesEmployee Assistance PlanNapoleon Recognition ProgramGOevisits, virtual doctor visits And moreThe Napoleon Group of Companies is committed to fair and accessible employment practices that attract and retain Associates with disabilities.
