Together, we’ll push boundaries and meet tomorrow’s challenges to engineer a better world.We are looking for a Construction Inspector/Surveyor to join our expanding multidisciplinary team in Saskatchewan. You will work closely with our local team of professionals in the delivery of projects for various public and private-sector clients.Primary ResponsibilitiesProvide construction administration services including construction contractor management, quantity tracking and verification, site inspections, quality assurance (QA) and construction site supervisionExecute field surveys including preliminary topographic surveys, slope staking / construction layout and quantity surveys using GPS survey equipmentPrepare and maintain client-specified construction records, and preparation of as-built drawingsAssist and prepare stakeout information for use in the field, such as corridors, alignment, linework, points and surfacesAssist project engineers and technologists in carrying out technical tasks requiring accuracy in calculations, completeness of data and adherence to prescribed methodsAssist in the preparation of tender documents and project cost estimates, and interpret construction contract specificationsQualificationsCivil Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent combination of education and industry experienceKnowledge / experience in interpreting construction drawings and construction layoutKnowledge / experience with GPS / total station / 3D scanning survey equipment and processesInterest or experience in urban roadway and highway constructionStrong verbal and written communication skillsDrone Pilot Certificate – Advanced Operations, as issued by Transport Canada preferred, but not requiredThe expected salary for this position is based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity.
