OverviewVolunteer Position — Bio-Psychology DSC Social Committee Members (5-6 positions)The Bio-Psychology Departmental Student Council (DSC) is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated students to join our DSC Committee for the 2025-2026 academic year. This is a volunteer position, open to all BioPsyc students from first to fourth year.This application will be available until September 15th, 2025 at 4PM EST.Roles and ResponsibilitiesAttending weekly DSC meetingsAdvertising DSC events to studentsCoordinate with other DSC members to organize events and joint initiativesComplete respective portfolioMARKETING DIRECTOR (2 positions available)Oversee the branding and visual identity of the DSC BiopsychologyDesign promotional graphics, posters, and digital content for all DSC initiativesWork with the Social Media Executives to ensure alignment of marketing and social media strategiesSupport outreach efforts by creating clear and engaging promotional materialAttend weekly council meetings and DSC eventsSOCIAL MEDIA (2 positions available)Manage and grow the DSC Biopsychology social media presence (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)Design engaging graphics and posts to promote DSC events and initiativesWork with the Marketing Executives to ensure cohesive branding across all platformsAssist in live coverage of events (stories, posts, etc.)Attend weekly council meetings and DSC eventsOUTREACH (2 positions available)Build and maintain connections between the DSC Biopsychology and students, faculty, and campus organizationsAssist with recruitment and student engagement campaignsHelp organize academic and career-oriented initiatives (e.g., info sessions, mentorship programs)Collaborate with the Events and Marketing teams to ensure wide student reachAttend weekly council meetings and DSC eventsEVENTS (2 positions available)Plan and organize DSC Biopsychology events (e.g., study sessions, socials, career panel)Collaborate with the Outreach and Marketing teams to promote events and maximize engagementHandle event logistics such as booking spaces, managing budgets, and coordinating volunteersSupport in planning large-scale DSC events throughout the yearAttend weekly council meetings and DSC eventsYEAR REPRESENTATIVESAdvocate and act as a point of contact for their respective BioPsyc classes.Second Year Rep (1)Third Year Rep (1)Fourth Year Rep (1)If there are any questions, concerns, or personal accommodations required during the application process, please contact Katie Murphy (biopsych.president@asus.queensu.ca), Sienna Valdez (president.biopsych@asus.queensu.ca), or Tashai Gardner, the ASUS Human Resources Officer, at hro@asus.queensu.ca.ASUS OfficePhone: (613)-533-6000 x75441Our hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. #J-18808-Ljbffr
