Senior IT Administrator - Linux based (Fully On-site, Port Perry) Adamson Systems Engineering is an industry leader in the design and manufacture of premium loudspeaker systems for live sound and installation markets. We are currently expanding and looking for a Linux based Senior IT Administrator to support our infrastructure and hardware. Responsibilities Providing prompt and effective 1st‑level support for network issues, telecommunications, and workstation‑related concerns, serving as the initial point of contact for all IT‑related inquiries. Design, implement, and maintain high‑availability (HA) solutions using Linux DRBD for synchronous block‑level replication, ensuring seamless failover and 99.9%+ uptime for critical systems. Maintain network performance by monitoring and tuning; troubleshoot network problems and escalating as needed. Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems and replace defective components. Maintain all network hardware, software, printers, phones, RF hand scanners, laptops, etc. Keep the company’s 3CX phone system in good condition. Prepare users by designing and conducting training programs and providing support. Continuously update job knowledge through education, professional publications, and networks. Protect the organization’s information by maintaining confidentiality. Own and execute new and different requests that add value to the organization. Skills and Qualifications Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline. Minimum of 7 years experience as an IT Administrator in a Linux environment. Thorough working experience with Linux DRBD. 1–3 years experience as a Microsoft Systems Support Technician. Hands‑on knowledge of current Microsoft software, including Windows and Office. Practical understanding of desktop and laptop repair and troubleshooting. Knowledge of systems such as Open‑ERP / ECI M1, Warehouse Management Systems, Anti‑Virus (Sophos, Avast), Network Security, Office 365, Windows 10, Server 2012 R2, Juniper Networking, and Cisco Wi‑Fi. Working knowledge of VoIP (Yealink). Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills and strong organizational ability.
