Job Title: Intermediate Accountant / BookkeeperLocation: Surrey, B.C Canada (On-site)Opportunity: Our client is a leading organization helping clients with accounting, tax and advisory services with a focus on family business, professionals, construction, retail and manufacturers.We are seeking an Intermediate Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our client's team in Surrey, British Columbia. As an Intermediate Accountant/Bookkeeper, you will manage all aspects of the company's financial transactions and bookkeeping duties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, excellent analytical skills, and be detail-oriented.Responsibilities:Record and manage all financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooksPrepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivableReconcile bank statements and credit card transactionsGenerate and maintain financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and general ledgersProcess payroll, including the calculation of payroll taxes and preparation of T4sProcess monthly and quarterly GST/HST returnsManage the company's cash flow by monitoring and forecasting upcoming expenses and revenueEnsure compliance with accounting standards and regulationsProvide financial analysis and recommendations to the management teamRequirements:Diploma or degree in Accounting or FinanceMinimum of 2 years of experience in accounting with bookkeeping responsibilities or a bookkeeping roleStrong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practicesProficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, MS Office; familiarity with accounting software, including Sage 300, is an asset.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDetail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience in a small to medium-sized business environment is preferredIf you are an Intermediate Accountant/Bookkeeper with a proven track record of success and looking for a new opportunity with a leading organization specializing in developing safe and reliable systems for managing organic waste, we encourage you to apply for this exciting role in Surrey, British Columbia.
