Join to apply for the 2500003083 - Radiology Technologist role at Lakeridge Health Overview The Technologist is responsible for producing radiographs and computed tomography images, recording and storing images as required to complete examinations requested by medical staff, and assisting the Radiologist in procedures. Maintains technical competence in accordance with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) guidelines and the requirements of the CAMRT and/or OAMRS. Rotates into other radiographic modalities and participates in student/technologist training, along with other related duties as required. Responsibilities Produce radiographs and computed tomography images with accountability to store and record images as required to complete examinations. Assist the Radiologist in the performance of procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety. Maintain technical competence per CMRITO, CAMRT and/or OAMRS requirements. Rotate into other radiographic modalities as needed. Participate in student/technologist training and perform other related duties as required. Qualifications Successful completion of a recognized Medical Radiation Sciences program; Must have CMRITO license; Demonstrated knowledge of all radiographic, fluoroscopic examinations, CT techniques, pathology and record keeping required to operate in the Diagnostic Imaging Department; Proven ability to use varied X-Ray, CT, Fluoroscopy and ancillary equipment to provide high quality diagnostic images for the Radiologist; Proven effective communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; Proven ability to assess requests and prioritize them to ensure excellent and prompt patient care; Proven ability to adapt standard work procedures to emergency situations; Must be able to work all shifts on short notice, take stand-by call and be on site within 30 minutes; CAMRT membership, preferred; Must have satisfactory performance record; Demonstrated commitment to the organization's core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy; Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's safety programs and practices, including staff, patient and environmental safety, with participation in regular in-services in this area.
