Regulatory Specialist – Bakery IngredientsOur client, a leader in the bakery ingredients space, is searching for a Regulatory Specialist to ensure all finished products sold meet legal, regulatory and certification requirements at the time of final sale. The Regulatory Specialist will manage all product information requests (both internally and externally) and be the primary support and backup for QC Technicians.ResponsibilitiesOversee the regulatory compliance program to ensure all products manufactured meet national and international regulatory requirements.Manage the QA inbox – organize all incoming emails and requests and delegate tasks as needed.Manage all finished product technical data and regulatory packages. Ensure information in the kosher database, genesis and the spec database are up-to-date and meet all national and international regulatory requirements.Complete all quality reviews and risk assessments and give final approval for new products and product changes. Send out a weekly commercialization update to the team.Lead the product inactivation process.Provide regulatory support to the R&D teams.Manage all customer requests.Manage Labelview and all label generation (including information displayed on labels).Be an expert on all quality related electronic systems – including spec database, genesis, SharePoint, Office 365, Dynamics CRM, planner, Business Central.Member of the HACCP team and Internal audit team – conduct facility inspections.Lead our supplier approval program: Approve new raw materials and suppliersComplete annual and ongoing supplier vulnerability risk assessmentsEnsure all documents are up-to-dateConduct investigations and full RCA-CAPA for all supplier complaintsSend a weekly new raw material update to teamBe fully trained on all dry side QC processes and liquid side QC processes. Act as the primary backup for QC (when QC is unavailable or on vacation).Provide daily support to QC to ensure efficient QC lab operations.Print and approve all dry side labels daily.Conduct allergen testing (such as GF testing and other certification related testing) as per production schedules.Approve production schedules daily.Be an immediate support function for Operations.Support all food safety initiatives, including BRCGS, HACCP, GMPs, Allergens, GFCP, Kosher, Halal, Customer Requirements (such as Costco standards and Kraft Standards).Ensure all activities maintain the food safety, authenticity, legality, and quality of our products.Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or additional duties may be assigned at any time.Desired ProfileCollege diploma or university degree in Chemistry, Food Science or Microbiology.
