OverviewCommunity Occupational Therapist – Kingston, ONCBI Health is Canada’s leading community healthcare provider. Our Community Rehabilitation Services treat clients who’ve experienced mental stress injuries and motor vehicle accidents, focusing on a return to pre-accident function. Our Traumatic Psychological Injury program offers work with clients such as first responders, including in-vivo exposure therapy, behavioural activation, trauma processing and return to function. We use evidence-based care with approaches such as virtual reality to promote outcomes. Our Complex Auto program assesses and treats physical, cognitive and psychosocial impairments related to motor vehicle accidents, with in-home and hospital discharge assessments, ergonomic assessments, concussion treatment, cognitive rehabilitation, mental health treatment and more. Responsibilities Assess and treat clients in community settings (in-home, workplaces, and other community settings). Complete in-home and hospital discharge assessments, ergonomic assessments, concussion treatment, cognitive rehabilitation, mental health treatment and other interventions that support start-to-finish recovery. Provide Occupational Therapy within the Traumatic Psychological Injury program, including in-vivo exposure therapy, behavioural activation, trauma processing and helping clients return to function. Work within the Complex Auto program to address musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, cognitive (TBIs, concussions) and psychosocial impairments related to motor vehicle accidents. Operate in a self-directed and independent environment while contributing to a collaborative team.
