Position Summary We seek a highly engaged, experienced, collaborative content manager to join our marketing team, reporting to the Director, Marketing & Communications. You’ll play a critical role in the voice of the United Way Winnipeg as you create content, messaging, and marketing creative. This is an outstanding opportunity for a hands‑on, innovative writer who is excited to inspire our community. You will be busy, supported, respected, and in excellent company. About You This is the role for you if you are an experienced professional Content Manager who: Has a passion for being in the middle of the brand, working with a team to nurture United Way Winnipeg’s identity through world‑class creative Loves writing marketing copy, social media content, fundraising communications, inspiring stories, speeches, annual reports, and public relations Appreciates meeting and interviewing community members with an eye for detail and accuracy while synthesizing complex information into inspiring stories Cares about voice and communicating in a variety of styles for diverse audiences. You need to be able to adapt your voice to each project with ease Is dedicated to copy editing and proofreading. You are fastidious about grammar and style and know attention to small details is extremely important Thrives at a pace of work that is never boring. You appreciate meeting tight deadlines with excellent work Is self‑directed, driven, proactive and energetic, with no shortage of ideas and the organizational skills to make them happen People‑focused with comfort interviewing, giving creative direction, collaborating with video, photography and design teams, and developing ideas independently Loves being part of a group of people dedicated to inspiring Winnipeggers to improve the lives of Winnipeggers Qualifications / Experience Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or Advertising and two‑to‑four years related experience A proven ability of writing marketing copy, speech writing, and storytelling for a variety of audiences and perspectives from corporate, to donors, and the community Exceptional ability to edit and consistently apply the rules of grammar and style Demonstrating initiative, imagination, and resourcefulness Critical thinker with strong problem‑solving abilities Comfort managing projects, communicating with clients, and making decisions on format and content of communications Ability to collaborate closely with other staff and volunteers Strong time management skills with a track record of handling multiple assignments at once Experience in fundraising communications is an asset Ability to learn and thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced, changing environment and ability to work independently and as part of a team Benefits Company‑paid Health and Dental Coverage Defined Benefit Pension Package with Company Match Generous Paid Time Off and Holiday schedule Opportunities for professional development and career growth Flexible hybrid work arrangements to support work‑life balance How to Apply United Way Winnipeg is committed to achieving and maintaining a workforce that reflects the demographics of the communities we serve.
