Who you are: We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver resultsGeotab is seeking a Principal Product Manager for Core UX. In this role, you are a product leader who understands that a world‑class "User Experience" is the result of a collective, multi‑disciplinary effort. You possess a unique blend of design sensibility and technical architectural depth, allowing you to view the Core UX of MyGeotab not just as a set of features, but as a cohesive ecosystem. You thrive in a collaborative leadership model, acting as a force multiplier within a team of high‑performing Product Managers. You excel at bringing order to ambiguity, specifically when the scope of product development becomes vast and complex. You are a diplomat and a driver, able to navigate a landscape of varied engineering squads and legacy components. You know how to support peers who are tackling massive mandates by providing the strategic "air cover" and prioritization frameworks necessary to ensure execution remains focused and impactful. What you'll do: As the Principal Product Manager for Core UX, you will lead the collective strategic vision for MyGeotab, our flagship fleet management web platform. You will work as a senior leader within a Core UX product team, partnering closely with the Senior Product Manager for our Design System and UX Foundations and the Senior Product Manager driving Core UX application development. Your mandate is to act as the strategic glue and prioritization engine for the Core UX domain. You will partner with the Senior PM currently managing the Core UX development scope to rationalize the roadmap, ensuring we are solving the most critical problems without overextending our engineering resources. You will collaborate closely with the Design System PM, who drives both the "Paved Road" strategy and the adoption of these reusable components within the MyGeotab interface. Together, you will drive the transition from legacy frameworks to modern, responsive architectures, ensuring that as we scale into new business lines, the core experience remains intuitive, performant, and seamless. You will mentor and align this group, fostering a culture where deep customer insights, not just delivery pressure drive our decisions. How you'll make an impact: Own the product strategy and business outcomes for a complex and ambiguous domain. Define and communicate a clear, compelling vision that aligns the executive team and the entire organization. Champion product‑led decisions, even in new or highly uncertain product functional areas, guiding the business through significant ambiguity. Deliver measurable business results (e.g., revenue growth, market adoption, user engagement) within your product domain. Identify and resolve systemic bottlenecks in the product development lifecycle, from initial idea to successful launch. Establish and scale continuous discovery practices to ensure teams build the right solutions for high‑value customer problems. Take direct ownership of the discovery and framing for Geotab's most ambiguous and strategically significant initiatives. Create frameworks and models that improve the quality and speed of decision‑making for the entire product organization Demonstrate a strong track record of influencing and delivering initiatives with significant organizational impact and cross‑departmental priority. Serve as a role model for collaboration, employing negotiation and patience to work effectively with executive and board‑level leaders, building consensus on strategic direction. Directly mentor other Senior and Lead Product Managers on strategy, vision, advanced product discovery, collaboration, influence, and execution, fostering their growth into future leaders. What you'll bring to the role: 10 – 12 years of relevant industry and product management experience with a proven track record of successfully bringing multiple complex, high‑impact products to market. Experience in a SaaS or telematics environment is highly valued. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Demonstrated expertise in defining and articulating compelling product visions and long‑term strategies for entire product platforms or major segments. This includes deep business, market, and customer domain knowledge, enabling the translation of insights into impactful product roadmaps and the ability to lead strategic initiatives with organizational‑wide and systemic impact. Extensive knowledge of relevant technical architectures, systems, and platforms within their product domain. Proven capability to lead complex technical discussions, make critical technology selections, and advise on technical designs, coupled with familiarity with relevant development processes and industry trends. Mastery of the full product development lifecycle, beginning with a clear definition of the target customer experience (PR/FAQ) and desired outcomes before proceeding to strategic planning, development, and launch. Highly skilled in strategic alignment and risk mitigation across portfolios. Exceptional ability to engage, influence, and build consensus with diverse internal and external stakeholders, including executive and board‑level leaders. A recognized expert who fosters a collaborative culture, mentors and develops multiple product managers, and contributes to the broader product management community through significant thought leadership. Highly proficient at analyzing data from various sources to quickly resolve tactical issues and make sound, data‑driven decisions. Demonstrates committed ownership, strategic foresight, and exceptional adaptability when navigating highly complex projects or extreme levels of uncertainty. If you got this far, we hope you're feeling excited about this role Even if you don't feel you meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
