Job Title P&C Data BA with API experience Location Markham, ON (Hybrid) Skills SQL, business analysis, API, P&C insurance Experience 8+ years Responsibilities Participate in data analysis, User stories creation, managing and maintaining user stories in Jira, as well as in the design of data and mapping requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes and API usage across P&C applications. Document current API architecture and identify dependencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities. Define functional and non-functional requirements for API migration and development. Work with cloud architects and developers to align business needs with AWS capabilities. Support data mapping, transformation, and validation during migration. Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and UAT activities. Work with SMEs and business representatives to understand current data and define the appropriate mapping, resolving discrepancies during data definition as well as providing testing support. Document field mapping, migration rules, developing user test cases for migration test runs, testing the rules during the migration runs. Collect and formulate business requirements via interviews and user discussions. Document functional requirements, business processes, use‑cases, and other project artifacts. Write, execute, and debug SQL queries to confirm data completeness, correctness, data transformation and data quality testing. Leverage industry profiling tools. Create, define, and document maps for inbound data feeds to internal targets using industry toolsets. Qualifications Experience with PNC is a must. Worked as a business analyst in a customer‑facing project. Strong background in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance. Cloud technologies knowledge; support strategic API migration to AWS.
