Job Overview Medical Radiation Technologist I position at Alberta Health Services located at Foothills Medical Centre. This role is within a fast‑paced Diagnostic Imaging Department and is responsible for providing and performing the highest quality service possible for Diagnostic Imaging clients during radiological imaging examinations. Position requires working all shifts and on‑call, with potential rotation through Arthur Child Comprehensive Cancer Center. Responsibilities Perform a variety of standard technical radiological imaging examinations; interpret physician requisitions; prepare and assess patients for examination; produce high quality diagnostic images for review; assist with equipment maintenance and care; conduct procedures such as general and portable radiography, mobile and surgical suite examinations, and fluoroscopy where required. Qualifications Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS‑HCP). Additional Qualifications Member in good standing and current registration/eligible for registration with ACMDTT. Ability to work confidently, independently and within collaborative partnerships/teams. Strong organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively liaise with various professionals. Perception, initiative, accountability, good judgment and concern for detail and accuracy. Ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff and physicians. Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations. Effective communication in English required. Practices effective infection control and MRI safety techniques as applicable. Preferred Qualifications As Required.
