Project Technologist – Environmental Health & Safety Compliance Join WSP in Canada as a Junior-Intermediate Project Technologist on our Atlantic EHS Compliance Team in Dartmouth. You will work on projects that involve hazardous materials management, indoor air quality, drinking water quality, radon measurement and mitigation, and industrial hygiene, supporting clients’ goals to improve workplace health and safety performance. Responsibilities Support multi‑disciplinary EHS projects across a variety of sectors. Specific consulting services you may provide include: Identification and management of hazardous materials. Indoor environmental quality assessment services. Occupational health & industrial hygiene services. Radon measurement and/or mitigation services. Drinking water sampling. Interpretation of laboratory sample results and comparison to applicable legislation. Preparation of technical reports. Project and proposal completion, including financial management, schedules, and deliverables. Project management and coordination of hazardous material/microbial contamination remediation work. Provide written and oral communication within multi‑disciplinary teams and with clients. Develop and maintain relationships with clients and sub‑consultants/sub‑contractors. Work during and outside normal business hours, including some weekends and evenings, and travel for extended periods (1–2 weeks at a time). Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Post‑secondary degree or diploma in occupational or environmental health and safety, environmental sciences, biology, building sciences, architecture, engineering, or a related field. Professional designation (EP, CET, AScT, CRSP, CIH, ROH, ROHT, PMP) considered an asset. Familiarity with building systems (mechanical, electrical, structural) considered an asset. Familiarity with provincial and federal Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental legislation. Working knowledge of occupational hygiene practices. Experience coordinating stakeholder meetings and summarizing results with an emphasis on written communication. Computer skills for data management and manipulation, with strong familiarity with Microsoft Office products. Highly Sought Assets Initiative to apply knowledge and suggest practical technical solutions to critical challenges. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; willingness to continuously learn and apply technology.
