Location: Collingwood, ON The Opportunity Our client, a respected automotive manufacturer in picturesque Collingwood, Ontario, is looking for a skilled Materials Manager to lead inventory control, production planning, and materials coordination. This is a pivotal role— you’ll ensure that the right materials are in the right place at the right time to keep production running smoothly and customer deliveries on schedule. You’ll also play a key part in improving efficiency, managing costs, and supporting long-term growth. What You’ll Do Lead materials planning, inventory control, and production scheduling to achieve 100% on‑time delivery Use capacity planning and S&OP tools to align operations with customer demand Manage packaging, freight, and storage costs within budget targets Maintain accurate part, cost, and material data in SAP and related systems (PASS, COGNOS, NIAPS, FPACS) Partner with customers to address supply issues and delivery commitments Ensure compliance with ISO 14000 and TS16949 standards Participate in RFQs and long‑term production planning to support business growth Investigate and resolve nonconforming product issues Support your team through clear communication, coaching, and workforce planning What You Bring A university degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related discipline 7–10 years of materials management experience in an automotive manufacturing environment Experience working in a unionized facility is an asset Strong leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Advanced Excel and ERP system experience (SAP preferred) A proactive communicator who thrives in a fast‑paced environment Why Join This Team?
