Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Temporary Full-TimeJoin to apply for the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Temporary Full-Time role at Muskoka Algonquin HealthcareWorking together to provide outstanding integrated health care to our communities delivering best patient outcomes with exemplary standards and compassion, Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) is a multi-site organization that includes Huntsville District Memorial Hospital Site and South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Site.ROLEAs a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare you will,Provide the required ultrasound service efficiently and effectively for the public in accordance with departmental policies and proceduresPerform a thorough and accurate ultrasound examination in a caring and professional mannerMaintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare’s (MAHC) policyIdentify various pathologies and acquire additional images, Doppler and measurements when appropriateReview images acquired to ensure they are of diagnostic quality prior to submitting for reportingProvide thorough and accurate documentation of technical impressions for the interpreting physicianNotify the interpreting physician of urgent or high-risk findingsAssist the Radiologist with ultrasound guided special proceduresRequired Education & Certification(s)Successful completion of a CMRITO approved training program which includes both didactic teaching and supervised clinical experienceRegistration with the CMRITO as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (DMS)Knowledge of musculoskeletal, vascular and special procedures an asset.
