Position: Full‑time Security Team Lead Hours: Continental Rotation (0700‑1900 / 1900‑0700 hrs) Pay Rate: $24.54/hr – $26.99/hr, based on the leveling system Overtime: Averaging Agreement after 88 hours Posting Date: November 6, 2025 Closing Date: November 13, 2025 Job Description Provides leadership, direction, and ongoing coaching and training to the security team. Ensures all standing orders and scheduled daily activities are carried out as required for each shift. Ensures site staff adhere to all Paladin Security and site security policies and procedures. Plans and implements shift work schedules. Ensures all Security Guards have received the mandatory training. Motivates staff and issues commendations. Disciplines staff when necessary and ensures proper documentation is passed to head office. Manages attendance. Performs security audits. Documents and investigates security incidents and complaints. Provides proactive and reactive security patrols. Communicates any concerns/issues with the Client Service Manager. Requirements A valid Ontario Security Guard License. A valid Standard First Aid CPR C Certificate (from a WSIB‑approved organization). Proof of up‑to‑date immunization records for mumps, measles, rubella, varicella, and a two‑step tuberculosis skin test. COVID‑19 vaccine (two doses). Willingness to complete N95 mask fit testing during training. Vulnerable sector check. English (oral and written) fluency is a must. At least one year of security experience in a team‑lead role. Minimum two years of security experience in a healthcare environment. Post‑secondary education in a recognized law enforcement/security program. Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and the Mental Health Act. Demonstrated punctuality, reliability, tact, and diplomacy. Legally authorized to work in Canada. Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB). Applicants without these certifications can opt into Paladin’s UOF/MOAB training program prior to onboarding. Please note: UOF/MOAB certification is a pre‑employment requirement; Paladin will cover all training costs with a 6‑month commitment to the position.
