This dynamic human resources management role is a key stakeholder to multiple mill Superintendents, General Supervisors and all first line leaders, as such, requires exceptional collaboration skills and a proven ability to build strong productive relationships across the business. This “boots on the ground” tactical position is of the mills and provides advice, counsel and coaching on all matters relating to human capital.Exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with employees and members of managementCollaborate with the business to develop a strong HR Business Partner relationship with the operations teamEnsure the HR function’s priorities and efforts are customer centric and aligned to the execution of the business strategyEnsure the facility is developing and maintaining a robust and sustainable talent pipeline around our technical positionsAffect cultural change to one of a collaborative environmentAction oriented after careful thought processEnsures transactional basics are functioning and delivering effective and efficient servicesResponsible for developing, managing, and enhancing a variety of training and development programs and other programs as assignedProvides consultative support to management for the consistent and appropriate application of policies and proceduresResponsible for maintaining the highest level of integrity, professionalism, fairness, and confidentiality in all aspects of job performanceRequirementsBachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development, management or a related fieldDesignation of CPHR or IPMA (International Personal Management Association) considered an assetMinimum of 5 years of experience as a Human Resources Business Partner; Experience within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment considered an assetDemonstrated ability to build a strong human resources business partnership with operations teamExperience administering a range of Labour Relations activities including: collective agreement administration, grievance and issue management, collective bargaining, union/management relations, performance management and conflict resolution processesComfort working in a heavy industrial mill/manufacturing environmentMature, collaborative, hands on, and tactically focused leaderOrganized, communicative and be able to maintain confidentialityOur total compensation package includes amazing benefitsCompetitive wages and bonus opportunitiesFamily medical, dental, and prescription coverage at minimal employee costShort and long term disability programsCompetitive retirement plansFlexible Spending and Health Savings AccountsEmployer-provided and Voluntary Life Insurance optionsPaid vacation and recognized statutory holidaysApprenticeship and career advancement within the companyTuition reimbursementWellness programWhile we thank all those who apply, only those being actively considered for employment will be contacted.Equal Opportunity EmployerEVRAZ North America is an Equal Opportunity employer.
