Role OverviewStantec is seeking a Civil Engineering Summer Student for a 4‑month work term at our Yellowknife office (May 2025 – August 2025). The student will support data collection and analysis, surveying, field reviews during construction, and design/drafting assistance for water, wastewater, and transportation infrastructure projects.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport health and safety requirements on siteProvide logistical support for field work and reportingEnter and administer data for project trackingObserve construction activity and document field conditionsAssist with design and drafting tasks using Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office SuiteQualificationsCurrently enrolled in an accredited university degree program in Civil or Environmental EngineeringProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, and AutoCAD; familiarity with Adobe is a plusStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing demandsTeam‑orientated, self‑motivated, and eager to learnClean graduated driver’s license (or equivalent); First Aid training is an asset but not requiredAvailability & LogisticsWork term starts in May 2025 and lasts for at least four months (full‑time, 40 hours per week). The student must be available to work beyond regular business hours as needed and be willing to travel for field work.LocationPrimary location: Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada. No travel beyond the local area is required.Benefits & CompensationPay ranges are provided in compliance with pay transparency laws.
