Marketing Specialist – Email & SMS Marketing Lavender, founded in 2020, is the largest nurse‑owned and operated online psychiatry and therapy office in the United States. We employ over 100 talented professionals who collaborate remotely across the U.S., Canada, and the Philippines to increase access to high‑quality, high‑touch mental health care. Overview As a Marketing Specialist you will support Lavender’s lifecycle marketing efforts, driving the performance of email, SMS, and targeted campaigns with a focus on compliance, personalization, and data‑driven optimization. Responsibilities Create, manage, and optimize segmented email, SMS, push, and automation workflows that guide customers through the entire journey. Design, build, test, and launch high‑quality multi‑channel campaigns aligned with business goals. Maintain campaign calendars and ensure error‑free deployment. Ensure compliance with CPRA, HIPAA, and other applicable regulations, including DMARC, DKIM, SPF, and spam‑filter management. Conduct quality control across devices and channels, and manage deliverability and sender reputation. Analyze customer data to identify key segments based on behavior, demographics, and lifecycle stage. Lead the rollout of new ESP and marketing automation tools in collaboration with IT and stakeholders. Compile, monitor, and analyze campaign performance, A/B tests, and KPIs; provide actionable insights and reports. Report on appointments booked and leads converted through campaigns and build reporting to track customer trends. Contribute to the team’s agility by supporting other marketing projects as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience in email/SMS marketing, segmentation, or customer lifecycle marketing. Passion for writing, designing, and consuming direct response content. Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and optimize automated customer journeys across multiple channels. Strong design skills, including responsive HTML/MJML template creation and email deliverability management. Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms, preferably ActiveCampaign. Deep understanding of CPRA, email marketing best practices, and compliance. Proficiency in Google Sheets and experience with reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Looker, or Tableau. Data‑driven mindset with strong analytical, business acumen, and project management skills. Self‑starter who thrives in a dynamic, remote‑first, startup environment.
