Reports to the Executive Chef and Pastry Chef de Cuisine; manages a pastry team of about 10 employees. Supervises and participates in pastry production for counters and restaurants Assists in managing the pastry team: scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, and counseling Ensures all foods meet quality standards in portion, flavor, texture, and consistency Produces decorative centerpieces and special orders Orders and requisitions supplies Maintains a clean and sanitary food production area according to health standards Performs additional duties as required Qualifications 4+ years of high-volume pastry experience Knowledge of Italian pastries and techniques Excellent communication and leadership skills Intermediate computer skills Post-secondary culinary/pastry arts training preferred Additional Information Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for up to 8 hours Experience with pastry baking equipment Salary: $65k - $75k annually Benefits and Perks Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Paid Time Off and Parental Leave 401K with match or RRSP Bonus program Free daily family meal Discounts at Eataly Product and Italian cuisine classes Referral bonus and more Eataly is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
