Full Time Optician role at Specsavers in Vernon, BC. Location: 5001 Anderson Way, Vernon BC, V1T 9V1Hourly rate: $22 - $36 or above depending on skills and experiences We value licensed opticians and deliver top‑quality eye care. OCT scans are the standard part of pre‑testing. We prioritize quick turnaround of glasses and aim to open 200 stores across Canada in two years, needing licensed opticians in all stores. Your role You choose a dispensing career to make a difference by ensuring every customer leaves with an eyecare regime that meets their needs. We provide tools and support to do what you love most – providing quality eyecare and eyewear to customers. Key responsibilities Interpret prescriptions and advise customers on suitable options. Fit glasses to ensure quality and comfort. Utilize OCT and other equipment to deliver clinical excellence. Provide mentorship to student opticians and the retail team. Support and empower opticians to practice within full scope and pursue career growth. Qualifications Licensed/registered optician with a valid Dispensing Optician and/or Contact Lens Fitter License in your province. Passion for eye health and commitment to exceptional customer experience and patient care. Ability to use clinical technology and follow rigorous testing standards.
