We are proud to serve a diverse clientele and are seeking a bilingual Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to help us better support our Spanish-speaking community.Position OverviewPosition Overview: We are looking for a friendly, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with both animals and people. This hybrid role combines client service and patient care, offering variety and meaningful impact every day.Key ResponsibilitiesReception Duties:Greet clients and patients with warmth and professionalismAnswer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage email communicationsMaintain accurate medical records and client informationProcess payments and invoicesCommunicate clearly and compassionately with clients, including Spanish-speaking familiesVeterinary Assistant Duties:Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams and proceduresSafely restrain animals for treatments and diagnosticsClean and prepare exam rooms and surgical areasAdminister medications and provide post-operative care under supervisionMonitor hospitalized patients and support their comfort and well-beingQualificationsFluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written)Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting preferredStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to multitask and remain calm under pressurePassion for animals and commitment to their careAvailability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekendsWhat We OfferA supportive and inclusive team environmentCompetitive compensation based on experienceStaff discounts on veterinary services and productsA chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their peopleAt NVA Canada diversity and inclusion are an important part of our everyday reality.
