Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards according to WSP’s Professional Practice Management Plan.Provide technical direction and coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals, including engineers, technicians, and support staff.Supervise and mentor junior staff toward efficient completion of project tasks while fostering continuous learning and technical excellence.Oversee design deliverables, budgets, schedules, and quality assurance processes to drive project success.Develop strong client relationships, understand their needs, and provide solutions; act as primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.Engage in strategic business development, establish/build client relationships, and contribute to proposal development.Drive innovation in developing water and wastewater treatment solutions using WSP resources.Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and financial performance; identify cost-saving opportunities.Collaborate with other departments to ensure holistic project delivery and foster cross-functional knowledge sharing. What you’ll bring to WSPBachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering; Master’s or Doctorate preferred.Professional Engineer in the province of BC; registration in other Canadian provinces considered an asset.15+ years of progressive experience in municipal wastewater treatment plant planning, design, and construction; 5+ years in a consulting environment preferred.Understanding of provincial and federal regulations governing wastewater treatment and discharges, including permit applications/regulatory support.Experience delivering studies, feasibility, concept designs, and detailed designs of wastewater treatment solutions in the municipal sector, including primary/secondary/ tertiary treatments and resource recovery processes.Experience with long-term planning studies for water and wastewater infrastructure (e.g., Liquid Waste Management Plans, Master Planning).Knowledge of industry codes/standards and local municipal guidelines.Advanced proficiency with wastewater process and hydraulic modelling software (BioWin, GPS-X, SUMO, Visual Hydraulics, OpenFlows).Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BIM, Revit, Plant 3D; ability to coordinate with drafting teams.Strong project management and discipline lead skills; ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.Experience in construction phase engineering support, including drawing and specification preparation; experience with Alternative Project Delivery is an asset.Proven ability to prepare high-quality written reports and deliver presentations to diverse audiences.Experience supervising and mentoring junior staff.Experience in business development and client relationship building, including proposal development.Ability and willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits as required. CompensationSalary range (in British Columbia): $113,500 - $156,000. The final salary may vary based on education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, and business needs.
