Position Overview:We are seeking a compassionate and skilledSpeech-Language Therapistto join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children and families, providing evidence-based speech and language therapy that enhances communication skills, social interaction, and overall development. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to create individualized treatment plans and help children reach their full communication potential.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in children.Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, targeting language development, speech clarity, social communication, and feeding/swallowing issues.Provide evidence-based interventions, including speech therapy, language therapy, and social communication training.Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals (e.g., Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists) to ensure a coordinated approach to care.Educate families and caregivers on exercises, strategies, and home programs to reinforce therapy goals and support the child’s development.Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies.Stay up-to-date with research, best practices, and professional development in pediatric speech-language therapy.Qualifications:Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Valid registration with theAlberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)or other relevant professional body.Experience working with children, especially those with neurodiverse or neurodevelopmental needs, is preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Knowledge of evidence-based practices in pediatric speech-language pathology and early intervention. #J-18808-Ljbffr
