Synopsis of the roleAs a Revenue Accountant you will drive innovation and automation across the enterprise. You will be heavily involved in, and often lead finance and wider business projects, reporting into the Revenue Manager.As part of our dynamic Finance Team, you will own the revenue accounting for all lines of business, consumer and commercial. The Finance Team is accountable for reporting all accounting in compliance with US accounting regulations and US GAAP standards.What You'll Do:Revenue accounting for Equifax Canada, in compliance with US accounting regulations and US GAAP standardsManagement of the accounting for revenue generating projects. You will prepare month-end reports, commentaries and variance analysis to senior managementManagement of the sales contract review process and input into customer opportunitiesReview and approval of monthly commission payments for the sales forceYou will support the FP&A team in forecasting and budgeting, quarterly contract reviews of material contracts and oversee the rebate and royalties processInvolvement with, and leadership of, multi-functional projects and business initiativesInvolvement in the production of customer invoices and management of authorization workflowsAssessment on the accounting treatments of different revenue topics such as recognition/rebate/discounts and otherWhat Experience you need :You will need to have 5+ years’ management accounting experience and university degree in accountingQualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA)Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accountingForeign currency accounting and report writing and maintenanceExperience using Oracle Financial systemAdvanced Excel SkillsExperience on the review of Contracts and Master Agreements which are multi-element and complex.Experience in Revenue accounting and knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognitionWhat could set you apart:Experience working for a global CorporationExperience working with an offshore shared service centerWorking knowledge of Hyperion and EssbasePrimary Location:CAN-Toronto-5700 YongeFunction:Function - AccountingSchedule:Full time #J-18808-Ljbffr
