Assistant Professor, Finance – Department of Accounting and Finance, School of Business Join MacEwan University in an entry‑level, full‑time, tenure‑track appointment in Finance at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2026, subject to final budgetary approval. Competition Number 25.10.302 Category Full‑Time Tenure‑Track Salary Commensurate with qualifications and experience. New hires will normally be placed within the first 8 steps of the Assistant Professor salary table. Position Summary Your focus will be to continue scholarly work and teach in finance, with expertise in one of the following areas: Options, Foreign exchange, Hedging, or Portfolio management. Responsibilities Conduct research in finance and disseminate findings. Teach undergraduate finance courses. Qualifications Terminal degree in finance (or close to completion). Primary commitment to undergraduate teaching. Ongoing research program. Evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate level. Experience in industry, government, or not‑for‑profit organizations is an asset. CFA or CFP designation is an asset.
