We operate from facilities located on the South Shore of Montreal at MET Montreal Metropolitan Airport (CYHU) and in Quebec City at Jean Lesage International Airport (CYQB). We provide scheduled and line maintenance services, avionics modifications, and research and development services for business aircraft and large carriers. We offer 24/7 Aircraft on Ground (AOG) services to help customers meet their on‑time departure obligations and minimize downtime. Our parent company, Chrono Aviation, was founded in Quebec City in 2012. At its inception, the company operated a single Pilatus PC‑12 and employed two pilots. Today, the Chrono Aviation Group boasts a fleet of 12 aircraft and a team of 200 employees. Role and Context The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – M1 is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and modifying piston‑engine aircraft in accordance with safety and airworthiness standards. The engineer ensures that all work is performed in compliance with Transport Canada regulations, manufacturer requirements, and the company’s internal procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform mechanical inspections as per the maintenance program Carry out mechanical repairs and component replacements Document completed work in accordance with established procedures Apply relevant service bulletins and airworthiness directives Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues Comply with safety and workplace environmental guidelines Work closely with fellow technicians and supervisors Maintain up‑to‑date technical and regulatory knowledge Use manual and specialised tools properly Contribute to the company’s safety culture Key Competencies Mechanical precision Personal discipline Autonomy Teamwork Attention to quality workmanship Specific Job Requirements AME license – Category M1 Relevant aircraft maintenance experience Knowledge of standard maintenance procedures and technical documentation Ability to meet deadlines and adhere to safety protocols Proficiency in reading technical drawings and manufacturer manuals Safe use of heavy equipment and specialised tools Ability to work on aircraft both on the line and in the hangar Proficiency in French is required for this position.
