In this role, you will oversee the team responsible for the “last mile” of our marketing strategy—building, testing, and launching multi‑channel campaigns that drive our growth.As a senior people leader, you will do more than manage a queue of tickets. You will be responsible for implementing strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency, influencing the broader marketing function, and building the team needed to execute on our long‑term roadmap. You will identify bottlenecks between Campaign Ops and stakeholder teams and remove obstacles to collaboration.Risk Management: “Work Backwards from Winning” by identifying, assessing, and mitigating both operational and strategic risks within the team and function. You will ensure we have the right internal communications, QA, and compliance (GDPR/CAN‑SPAM) safeguards in place.Drive Agility: Foster a sense of urgency within the team. Role‑model the importance of balancing speed (to meet market demand) and quality (to protect the customer experience) in delivering results.Technical & Analytical LeadershipAI & Innovation: Drive further AI maturity across Campaign Operations processes. You will identify and implement operational improvements embedding AI in the way work is accomplished to accelerate campaign production, segmentation, and business impact.Root Cause Analysis: Promote critical thinking. When challenges arise, you will support the team in conducting root cause analysis to solve systemic issues rather than applying quick fixes.Performance & Tools: Develop and implement tools and resources to enhance ramping and sustained team performance, ensuring new hires can master our stack (Marketo, Iterable, Salesforce, Hightouch, Zoom, etc.) quickly.Minimum requirements for the role10+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, Demand Generation or similar Global Service Center, with 3+ years of direct people management experience.Serve as a subject matter expert with deep hands‑on experience in Marketing Automation (Marketo/Iterable), CRM (Salesforce), and CDP platforms (Hightouch or similar); provide technical leadership and troubleshoot complex issues to guide and support the team.Process Leadership: Managed high‑volume global campaign operations, overseeing end‑to‑end processes including intake, build, QA, and reporting to ensure efficient execution and quality delivery.Data Fluency: Analyzed operational metrics (SLA adherence, error rates, capacity planning) and campaign performance data (Open Rate, CTR, CTOR, Pipe:MQL, etc.) to inform strategic decisions and optimize resource allocation.Collaboration: Fostered cross‑functional collaboration to solve complex challenges, streamline workflows, and improve overall marketing operations efficiency.An ideal candidate also hasMarketo Certified Expert or equivalent technical certifications.Experience managing remote or distributed teams across different time zones (e.g., supporting members based in NA, EMEA, and LATAM).Experience leading change management initiatives, such as transitioning operational responsibilities or implementing new intake platforms.Proficiency with related stack tools such as Hightouch, Airtable, Gumloop, Allgood, Litmus, and Contentful.Samsara’s Compensation PhilosophySamsara’s compensation program is designed to deliver Total Direct Compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is at or above market. We do this through our base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs) for eligible roles.
