Elizabeth Fry Society of Kingston provides care and connection to women in the community through advocacy, client‑led, trauma‑informed case management, and community building. Position Description As a Case Manager on the Residential Facility team, you will be responsible for providing ongoing support and supervision to the residents of the Community Residential Facility (CRF). This support includes crisis prevention & intervention, behaviour management, liaising with and making referrals to community resources, and administrative tasks. Residents of the CRF are women who have been in conflict with the law and are on community release (e.g., Probation, Conditional Sentence, Parole). The Case Manager will work collaboratively with clients, the CRF team, and other Elizabeth Fry staff to empower clients to progress toward and achieve set personal development goals including program attendance and engagement, securing housing, and maintaining positive connections within the community. The overall goal for clients at the end of their residency is to feel confident and secure in their reintegration into the community, achieved by individualized Residential Action Plans. You will complete client intake and build rapport with residents at the CRF. Additional duties include agency representation on community and institutional committees, public presentations, policy, program and proposal writing, and social media contributions. The Case Manager facilitates the ongoing review and development of programs; establishes a working rapport with police, the National Parole Board, Ontario Parole, and Earned Remission Board. The CRF is a single‑staff work environment, with an expectation to work positively and cooperatively with other members of the Residential Facility Team. The ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with clients, staff, and community partners is essential. The Case Manager reports directly to the Team Lead of the Community Residential Facility. Staff are required to be available for a variety of shifts in this 24/7 program including days, afternoons, overnights and weekends. You will be required to work at least one overnight shift a month on a weekend or weeknight (e.g. 11pm-7am). Possible opportunities for professional development include: Increased understanding of the provincial and federal justice system Strong connections to other community service providers Naloxone administration training Suicide and crisis intervention training Workshops on supportive counselling techniques Program facilitation training Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in social services field, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Knowledge of criminal justice system is mandatory; family law knowledge and experience considered an asset; Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in a non‑profit organization, shelter or in a criminal justice service delivery environment; Skilled administration and organizational skills; strong verbal/written communication; Experience networking and creating relationships for the purposes of program delivery and expansion; Experience with data collection and management; Familiarity with relevant community resources; Strong computer skills; High emotional intelligence and ability to resolve conflict; Strong understanding of professionalism and boundary setting; Experience working in deadline‑driven setting, proven project management skills; Excellent oral and written communication skills; current CPR/First Aid certification and a current CPR/CAC are required.
