The Opportunity WSP is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project located in our Thornhill office. As a key member of the Mechanical and Electrical Team reporting to the Mechanical Team Lead, you will develop the design of mechanical building systems through completion of design packages for construction. Proficiency with REVIT MEP for 3D modelling is advantageous. Responsibilities Collaborate with Engineers and Designers to design, model and coordinate the various mechanical systems in REVIT, including HVAC ventilation and hydronics, controls, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection. Undertake design calculations and prepare details for the various systems from design development through to design packages stage of the project. Work in a multi‑disciplinary team with close liaison with the mechanical trade contractor in a collaborative design assist environment. Prepare drawings for construction design packages. Qualifications Minimum 1 year mechanical engineering and design experience using REVIT MEP 3D on building projects. Eligible for and working towards P.Eng. or C.E.T. designations in Ontario. Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Experience in different delivery models (CM, Design Build, P3) is advantageous. Knowledge of the National Building Code of Canada and the Ontario Building Code. Knowledge of LEED v4.0, ASHRAE, and CSA/ULC standards. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative problem‑solving mindset. Proficiency in REVIT MEP 3D modelling and MS Office applications. Must hold or be eligible to obtain PSPC Reliability security clearance as a minimum.
