Director of Fundraising – Community Broadcasters Foundation of Canada Location: Ottawa, Canada. Hybrid or remote work arrangements possible. Salary: $80,000-92,000 per year. Full-time, 35 hours per week. Job Summary The Community Broadcasters Foundation of Canada was formed by the Community Radio Fund of Canada to increase philanthropic support for the community radio sector. The Fundraising Director is an exciting opportunity to support building a new organization from the ground up, working with the foundation board and CRFC to secure funds so the foundation can support community radio stations and become self‑sustaining. Responsibilities Secure gifts, grants, and funds from public and private foundations and corporations. Develop relationships with major funders, meet reporting requirements, and ensure funds are expended for agreed projects. Help develop a comprehensive fundraising plan, including cultivation of major individual gifts and a legacy giving program. Ensure all reporting and tax‑receipting meet ethical standards and legal requirements of the Canada Revenue Agency. Work independently with high initiative, flexibility, and multitasking. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and approximately five years of relevant fundraising experience or an equivalent mix of education, training, and experience. Thorough knowledge of fundraising strategy, practices (e.g., moves management), and ethical principles. Experience leading campaigns, soliciting prospects, writing grants, and activating board networks. Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving skills. Commitment to diversity and an inclusive work environment. Ability to collaborate, build relationships, and work effectively in a team. Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Drive. Ability to work in both official languages. Assets Experience with the non‑profit and/or community radio sector. Experience with fundraising CRM software. Familiarity with Canada Helps.
