We currently have an engaging opportunity for a MECHANICAL ENGINEERING STUDENT. Since January 2024, J.D. Irving, Limited has committed to reimbursing the co‑op fee for students completing their work term with the company up to $1,000. NOTE: Applications for both co‑op and non‑co‑op students will be accepted Responsibilities Assist in the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems and components. Create and update CAD models and engineering drawings using software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar. Support prototype development and testing, including data collection and analysis. Participate in design reviews and contribute to problem‑solving discussions. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. Learn and adhere to company policies and industry standards. Qualifications Currently enrolled in an Engineering university degree program or a Community College Engineering program. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals. Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Strong organizational skills with strict attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated safety awareness and orientation. Ability to multi‑task, prioritize work effectively, and meet deadlines.
