Marine Construction Manager – WSP Canada Apply for the Marine Construction Manager role at WSP in Canada. Job Description Lead transformative construction efforts at a remote site near Squamish, BC. This rotational role (two weeks on, two weeks off) involves managing large-scale, multidisciplinary projects that support WSP’s engineers, scientists, and operating divisions across Canada. Work operates on 12–13‑hour daily shifts. Lead the development and execution of project plans, including site safety and logistics. Interface with clients, engineers, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless communication and compliance. Manage RFIs, change orders, and directives while responding to site incidents. Coordinate field teams and subcontractors to ensure timely and high‑quality delivery. Provide project updates and trend forecasts to senior leadership. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards throughout all phases of construction. The Skills That Set You Apart 10–12 years of construction experience, including 6+ years as a Construction Manager on a large Marine Construction Project. University degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline). Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors. Experience with large diameter drilled caissons, freighter terminals, and marine construction is an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Procore, IDoc’s, and Adobe Acrobat. PMP or Professional Engineer designation is an asset. Willingness to work rotational shifts (day and night) and travel 100% of the time to Squamish, BC. Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
