Job Description We’re hiring a dedicated Analytics Engineer to join our Data Division team This contract role focuses on the operational stability, maintenance, and enhancement of the client’s existing data platform and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. As a key member of the pod, you will resolve data requests, support business users, and ensure the core data infrastructure remains robust, secure, and performant. Job Requirements 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, BI development, or a similar data‑focused role. Expert‑level SQL proficiency – complex queries, stored procedures, and transformations across SQL Server, Oracle, Azure Synapse Analytics. expertise in Power BI – advanced DAX, data modeling (star schemas), performance tuning, workspace and security administration. Hands‑on experience maintaining and troubleshooting data pipelines, specifically using Azure Data Factory (ADF). Proven experience working in a hybrid data environment, querying and extracting data from on‑premise relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and cloud platforms. Strong client‑facing communication skills, supporting non‑technical business users and translating their needs into technical actions. Experience in healthcare, senior living, or other regulated industry (e.g., HIPAA familiarity). Familiarity with ticketing and workflow systems such ServiceNow. Scripting ability in Python or PowerShell for automation or data manipulation. Understanding of version control with Git. Service‑oriented mindset, viewing business users as your primary customers and driven to resolve their issues. Exceptional problem‑solver, methodical and detail‑oriented in diagnosing complex data issues. Thrives in an operational and support‑focused role, focusing on stability, reliability, and continuous improvement rather than building new systems. Self‑sufficient, organized, able to manage a support queue and prioritize in a remote environment. Clear, proactive communicator, able to articulate technical information to diverse audiences. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant cloud certification (Azure Data Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Data Analytics). Job Responsibilities BI & Analytics Enablement Serve as subject matter expert for the client's Power BI environment, providing hands‑on support to business users. Troubleshoot and optimize existing Power BI reports and dashboards, diagnosing performance bottlenecks, correcting data inaccuracies, and refining DAX calculations. Translate business user requests into effective ad‑hoc queries and minor enhancements to existing data models. Manage Power BI user permissions, workspaces, and access controls. Data Platform Operations & Maintenance Monitor and maintain existing data ingestion pipelines, ensuring reliable flow from source systems (Oracle, SQL Server, Workday) to destinations (Azure, Snowflake). Diagnose and resolve failures or data quality issues within pipelines and databases, performing root‑cause analysis to prevent recurrence. Perform routine maintenance, optimization, and incident response for the client’s production data environment across both Azure and legacy systems. Stakeholder Collaboration & Support Act as primary technical point of contact for data‑related issues, managing and prioritizing inbound support tickets from business users. Work closely with client stakeholders to understand data challenges and provide clear, concise communication regarding issue resolution and timelines.
