Base pay range CA$45.00/hr – CA$45.00/hr Job Title Automation Tester Location Toronto, ON (3x onsite a week) Employment Type Contract Job Description Seeking an associate who has hands on experience in test automation using python. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable test automation frameworks using Python. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to understand requirements and translate them into test cases. Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools. Analyze test results, identify root causes of issues, and provide detailed reports. Continuously improve test processes and contribute to best practices in test automation. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing. Mandatory Skills Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 2+ years of hands‑on experience in test automation using Python. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes. Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as PyTest, Selenium, Robot Framework, or similar. Familiarity with version control systems like Git. Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD). Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or REST-assured. Knowledge of BDD frameworks like Behave or Cucumber. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust).
